How does the quiz work?
The ILCU quiz operates through multiple stages of competition, providing an exciting platform for students to showcase their knowledge and teamwork. Here's an overview of how the quiz works:
At the local level, schools associated with First South Credit Union have the opportunity to enter both an A team and a B team. Each team consists of four students who collaborate to answer the quiz questions. The quiz is structured into multiple rounds, each featuring a predetermined number of questions.
Following the local stage, the top-performing teams advance to the regional level. Here, they compete against teams from other areas, expanding the scope of the competition. The regional winners secure a place in the highly anticipated national final, held in Dublin around March.
The national final brings together the most accomplished teams from across the country. These talented participants engage in a thrilling battle of wits, vying for the coveted title. The atmosphere is electric as the finalists demonstrate their knowledge, teamwork, and determination to emerge victorious.
